Still Mind

The ancient art of seeing things as they truly are

scroll gently

The Three Pillars

Anicca

Impermanence. Every sensation arises and passes away. In understanding this, we loosen the grip of attachment and find freedom in the flow.

Kāya

The body as mirror. Through careful observation of bodily sensations, the deepest truths of mind and matter reveal themselves, moment by moment.

Upekkhā

Equanimity. Neither craving nor aversion. The balanced mind observes without reacting, and in that stillness, wisdom awakens.

All conditioned things are impermanent — when one sees this with wisdom, one turns away from suffering. This is the path to purification.

The BuddhaDhammapada, verse 277
